Are people just animals with cloths on?

Yes, love, we are animals. We are primates. We evolved quite a while ago from the same 'ape-like' creature as the apes. They inched along one path and we humans inched along in another. As we evolved we added thumbs...rather necessary in working with tools...and little things like big brains and powers of reasoning and logic, and a big-one, language, speech. Folks who deny that we're animal, that we are 'human beings,' forget that only three categories exist: animal, vegetable, and mineral. Well, you ain't no dang turnip, are you? I wish one person who answered your question hadn't elected to be rude to you--she must be a Fundy. They can't help it; most of 'em were home-schooled and harbor deplorable social skills.

um...yeah...of course we're animals with clothes on.  0_0  we're animals just like all the others.  the only difference is that we're the only animal that's self-aware of its own existence.  and that's what makes us so special.  that's what created the arts...art is our way of expressing our own realities, of sharing with one another what it means to be us.  don't ever let anyone tell you that human beings are not animals.  it's that type of thinking that creates all the problems and conflicts that we face in our world.
