Are people looking for reasons to be upset?

It seems quite a few questions here are of people (typically women) upset for petty reasons and blowing things out of proportion. Am I too easy going or do others feel that many of this questions are petty as well?

Yes. We are looking for reasons to blame others or ourselves. We are too unhappy in our lives. Their is so much boredom, lack of interesting events, and regret in life that we cant be unhappy.

We want to be treated better, so we complain.

lol, some people are pretty petty, but maybe you're just too easy going too.

yes, a lot of them are petty.  Some people like drama, some people get so locked in their little box of "THIS IS HOW IT MUST BE" that they can't see another side, and some just have to be right and don't care how they sound or who they run down as long as they are right.

I can remember being petty and controlling in relationships (high school) and that is also another thing--they aren't just petty but are most likely very young and/or immature.

I'd much rather be easy going.  Life is so much more less stressful.  I'll take a life of contentment over high drama any day.

And that's another issue--small minds can't understand contentment and mistake it for boredom--paging Madame Bovary--and instead they seek out the drama which they've mistaken for passion--Madame Bovary, white courtesy telephone.

Wow!  Just when I think that all women are bonkers, someone like you comes along being sensible.  

In particular, the reactions to p**n viewing is totally bizzare.  The presumption that young women can actually dictate what someone else is allowed to even THINK is beyond comprehension.  Those who equate p**n to cheating are so out of whack with reality that it is a very sad commentary on just how little value intelligence and reason have entered the female psyche over the last 50 years.  

I believe that it boils down to utter selfishness.  Today's young women (particularly the pretty ones) have been treated like little princesses their whole lives, they simply cannot believe that everyone does not hold them in the highest of esteem they deem appropriate.  Often, they are supposedly upset at these trivial matters, not for the act itself, but for someone actually having the audacity to not be dedicating their thoughts and actions to keeping the precious darlings on the highest of pedestals.  

So, yes, people go off on petty tirades.  No, you're not too easy going, my bet is that you've lived a little, and know what is really worth getting upset about.

Some women think fighting equils caring.  

But there is something in some women that is like a need to bi$ch and complain.  They will just sit there and chip away at an otherwise good relationship until nothing is left.  Weird.

Yeah, but remember there are people of all ages, all backgrounds, all cultures and different people mature at a different pace and not everyone is educated, some have mental illnesses - you just don't know everything about the people making these posts.

Maybe you're a little too easy going, and their questions are a little too petty and blowing things way out of proportion.

I tend to lean toward most of the questions on here are petty and pathetic - but that's just me.  (And apparently you, lol.)

i think we answer question after question, and begin to lose our patience with c**p like, "i love a married man".  after a while, it gets annoying.  i'd log off but this Y!A thing is SO addictive :-)

It's quite petty if you see it in a mature kind of way but we cant help the fact that some people tend to deal with it and prefers to deal in childish ways.

People are hurting and are reaching out to others.  I think if I was in some of these situations, I would be reaching out as well.  Also this is a somewhat anonymous avenue to get a perspective that is not from someone too close to the situation, like a close friend or family member.  

I consider this to be a blessing to many.  It is difficult to judge others when we have not walked in their shoes, therefore I do my very best to refrain from that.

Yes, some of it is really petty, but sometimes the "petty" thing is the last straw. Know what I mean?

It's not just here. Many have a victim mentality as a way of perceiving and dealing with life.

I disagree.   There are many very valid questions that are not petty from people that really do need help and advise.

I do not think they are petty, they are real questions from real people, and if people do not like the question, then they should not answer them.

Just go to another.

Simple as that.

It does not matter if anyone on here is easygoing, or petty.

We are all human, and with all of us on here, we are all bound to see some pretty interesting questions and some pretty interesting answers.

I guess that is what makes Y.A. interesting, is all the interesting and unique people on here, that are giving all the interesting and unique questions and answers.

Just think, if everyone on here was the same, can you imagine what a dull, and boring place this would be????

Well your partly right. and partly wrong.  I find some of the questions like that are from men too. BUT woman do seem a little bit more desperate. Some of the questions on here are REALLY DUMB!!!!  I've learned not to answer those anymre. But sometimes the person is such an idiot you just have to respond. Like I just answered an idiot who asked if theres anything wrong with trying to find some ladies for dinner or other things while he's away on a buisness trip. HE'S MARRIED????  Those people are complete morons. And that was a guy. Why do these people get married? Anyway, ya I do agree sometimes the problems are really minor.

Alot seem petty to me, but we have to keep in mind that everyone is different and just because they don't see things the way we do, does not mean it gives us the right to judge.
