Question:

Are people mean or am i to sensitive???

I'm not a great speller! (sadly), but some guy totally picked apart an answer i gave just because of the spelling then wrote me an email telling to stop answering questions!

the question was a doomsday one! and it was asking for opinions!

yes it did argue with my opinions but it wasn't in a logical way!

am i to sensitive or is this guy a gerk!

i emailed him back with alot of evidence to back of my facts...but theres not really any need!

anyone else get this sort of thing????

  1. its ok.sometimes ppl. jus dunno to give rspect to others' feelings.nobody is perfect in this world.dont mind abt. these ppl. and carry on with ur life!:)


  2. YES, There are a lot of very angry, mean people out there who love to spread their misery!!!!!!!!! Don't focus on them and I wouldn't even return their emails. They only send them to upset you and to get a response out of you so they can only put you down more. You are right! You don't have to be a spelling whiz to state your opinion,ask a question,or try and add some insight to someone who may just benefit from your advice.I would much rather have someone who misspells a few words answer my questions if they answer from the heart, than some jerk who spells his insults perfectly!!!! Forget them and keep rolling with your life and the more you write,the more you awns er and ask the better your spelling may get................regardless of his ????he will still be a jerk!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Yes, people are mean...and yes you are being too sensitive. So, you can't change other people but you might be able to change yourself. Just remember, some people have nothing better to do than try to bring others down. Putting things in perspective might be able to help you be less sensitive where this issue would give you amusement instead of worry.

    Personally, if someone had that little of a life that they have to take time to email someone to stop answering questions I would laugh my a** off!

  5. Most people are mean but who cares about what some anonymous jerk thinks. You don't have to prove anything to anyone. And lots of people are not great spellers. Try not to let this YA thing get to you.

  6. Not everybody has good spelling. Not everybody types well. If one could understand what you were trying to say, then commenting on your spelling was uncalled for. In any event, telling you to stop answering questions was an unacceptable thing to say. He's a jackass.

  7. Hey don't put your self down...this guy is a bully just ignore him. People that goes around picking on others they are just a waste of time in this world. You might not be able to spell right...and so what... he might not be able to do loads of other stuff. Just don't spend anymore time on him and don't let people put their feet on top of you.

    Be nice to people are nice to you and the ones are not just don't mix with them and don't give em any importance.

  8. a combination of both. do not be put off by a few who are aggressive and ignore good manners . they just want to make themselves feel better by bullying others and getting an argument going. it's actually them that are suffering from low self esteem and are overreacting to try and compensate. ignore them.  

  9. Kristina, just always remember that as a human we have to always get the message; not the messenger. No matter how bad we spell, how nasty we talk, how ugly we write - just get and know the message. If we can't understand something then we have to visit this site as always as you do - and answer/s will be with you.

Apart from spelling, which can be perfected by use of the spell-checker, you need to look at punctuation.  If you don't use it wisely, your writings will be ambiguous, and it is likely you will be understood.  Sentences start with a capital letter, and please, learn the correct use of the apostrophe.

  11. he is very rude and sounds like he's having a bad day so needs to find something to pick on others about to make himself feel better...

    i wouldn't let it get to me too much though, he is on the internet after all, not in person, he doesn't even know you...you can always block him so that he can't harrass you any more...

    and by the way, your spelling isn't THAT bad, i've seen much much worse on here...

  12. ~~He is completely ignorant and showed himself well. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Not everyone has great spelling skills, that does not mean you can't get your point across. So many great and famous scientists, celebrities, etc. have spelling or reading problems, bit they didn't;t let that deter them from doing what they wanted to accomplish. I can guarantee you have skills he would never be able to have, we all excel at different things. So just totally ignore him, there is someone always ready to rain on our parade. Think and believe enough in yourself to not need the opinions of bullies!

    You nailed him sweetie.  I love to laugh and that word gerk instead of jerk was hilarious.  Some of the most brilliant people in the world are horrible spellers.  But the "gerks" of the world look for ways to hurt people.  

    If it pleases you, there are many ways to improve your spelling.  If it doesnt dont worry about it.

    Dont every let one negative response be the only response you remember or hear.  It will keep you from success in all things you do.  Which is exactly why people attack with negativity when it isnt even important or necessary.  

    Keep on answering questions, enjoy yourself.  And yes, i get that sort of think all the time.  lol.

  17. People like to find anyway to act superior to other, it makes them feel better about the fact that they have nothing to do other than sit on this website and criticize other people. I think that it is amusing how people will actually argue with other peoples opinions, we all are entitled to our own opinion.

    Don't worry about it, imagine him in his mothers basement, in stained tighty-whiteys eating chili dogs.

    Not worth it sweetheart, and no you are not a very good speller are you, but that's what spell check is for right.

  19. Some people are right mean gits. They can't come up with something significant, so they give others siyte.

    Once was given a real load because of one misspelt word. Some woman probably jealous of me going to uni said all the money was wasted on me.

    Now, I am about three years from finishing with a Ph.D. in behavioural medicine. That doesn't make my any better than anyone else nor necessarily good at spelling.

    Everyone has strengths--those of us who play to our strengths usually come out ahead, that's the only difference.

    The main thing, try not to take it to heart those prats who snipe. They are rude, judgemental and not worth a second thought.

I am the reigning typo champion of all bds I visit and I abbreviate too which drives spell checker crazy  so someone is guaranteed to mess up more than u do.   Yes some ppl are rude on net just as some are rude in off net life.  Best thing to do in both cases is to ignore them.  Nice thing is on net there r ways to block the rude ones.
