In L.A. County, if your personal property was destroyed, can you sue for emotional distress as well or is this not acceptable?

  1. You cannot sue for emotional distress in Small Claims Court, period.  

    It is unlikely you can successfully sue for emotional distress even in Superior Court with a lawyer for any sort of personal property being destroyed, usually limited to personal injury.
