  1. lol it's the internet, people love to get angry here because they know they won't do such a thing in real life.

  2. Way to political sensitive and overly opinionated. I mean yea state your issue but dont report everyone who has the opposite point of view.

  3. wat is YA

  4. People are AMAZINGLY sensitive, especially on YA.  I don't think it's a matter of political correctness, but a matter of narrow-mindedness.  If your opinion is even slightly different from someone else's, they will "report" you.  And everyone knows how "carefully" the YA staff investigate these things, lol.

  5. YES! people everywhere are overly sensitive.

And I find people are getting more and more crazy everyday.

I asked a guy for a cigarette on tuesday when i was walking home from work and his response was, "what, cuz I'm black that means I smoke?" and his rant continued....it was brutal!

well anyway, I think people just need to relax a little bit and not get so caught up in every little detail....!

  6. One of my favorite authors, Bukowski, said something like, peoples' insanity comes out in the way they drive. People are mostly mad! And yahoo! is the place to vent, and elsewhere it's seen too, usually more subtly.

I think Bukowski had it down with his excessive drinking - but I personally meditate, and exercise when I can. I like basketball and bikes.

  7. It is easy to over react to things when you're communicating only with the written word. Typed words rarely give any indication of the emotions the writer is trying to convey (sarcasm, humor, etc.) unless the person uses major keys (CAPS, swear words, etc.). That makes it much easier to be offended by things that weren't meant to be offensive. Are we too politically correct, yeah, I think so, but are there explinations for people being 'overly sensitive'?, yeah.

  8. I think people are getting sloppy.  They have forgotten the word "manners." There is a way to approach people and then there is simple "crust."  There is a way to say things to people without being rude. One man's rights end where another's begin.  People have the right to be called by their name, and not disparaged or bashed. Some of the people who want to take out their anger/frustrations on others wear "honesty" on their chest like a medal, and sometimes say unkind or reckless things, when what that is is simply being rude.  There is a way to say things to people.  It doesn't take much thought, and one doesn't even have to read it in a book...common sense is the key.  This is why employers require customer service training.  When they don't have restraint, self-centered people take their moods out on others, put people down with passive aggressive slurs, and aggressive remarks.  I would have been grounded for life for being as rude as I've seen people on YA and my clients talk to each other.  Have a little respect.  It goes a long way and people learn that's what you require.

  9. Yes i think we are too politically correct.

Some people do get upset over uncessary things for sure, however there are people out there who just let rip on others, they do it because they are under the cover of anonyminity.  It's not a bad thing to put those folks back in their box from time to time too.

  10. yep

  11. Those who nurture schmoozing to gain advances, socially, which they will represent as a money show, are usually the politically correct.  Personally,  I see no future in debating politics, religion, and gender superiority.  I sense, in our nation anyway, the reality that income and possessions are not necessarily an accurate indication of the value of the self worth of an individual.  There will always be social opportunity for upward mobility,  it's called "power".  However, Salaries cannot continue to escalate with out driving the prices of commodities higher.  There will always be the super rich, and the super disadvantaged.  The increase in the prices of the just basic requirements will separate the classes.  Entrepreneurial effort usually results in an increase of income, but not always.  It's the challenge to succeed that motivates entrepreneurs.

  12. this isnt a debate format, its question and answer. if you constantly change your question as you seem to want to do you invalidate the whole thing. If you were thinking poll it was yes or no, with some comments but you altered your question. No debate.

  13. Yes, fighting over the internet is like the special Olympics, even if you win, your still retarded.

  14. Yes, I do believe some people are overly sensitive on Y.A.  Y.A. is just a web-site to ask and answer questions, and it's helpful to hear other people's opinions.  Some people on here do ask really upsetting questions about their lives.  Those people might not feel comfortable asking those questions in person.   I've also seen people answer questions; saying depressing things.

I once saw a question about Valentine's Day on here.  The were about 5 or 6 guys that were saying that they hated Valentine's Day and they hated living, because it's so hard to get a girlfriend.   You know what Valentine's Day is like for the singles.

Yeah, you will deffinelty see people get realy sensitive on this web site.
