They p**s and moan about the price of gas, then they leave the car running with the a/c on while they run into the store for 10 minutes.

  1. It's not an energy crisis.  It's a policy crisis.  People need to stop complaining and trying to stop the "evil speculators" since speculation is a key component to a free market.  The US government has conveniently haulted all domestic drilling in the Alaska and off the coast.  If we get at that oil, we drastically improve the supply to balance out the demand, therefore, lowering the cost.  The problem is right now, Nancy Polosi and Harry Reid are blocking any attempt to vote on drilling because they know it will pass even with a Democratic majority.  And how is this benefiting the American people?  Oh, that's right, it's not at all.  In fact, it's stretching many of them beyond their means all because those morons are too boneheaded to do the right thing.

  2. That depends on who the person is.  I know several people and I am including myself, that are now car pooling to work.  I live close to a Walgreens and the grocery store so I bought a push cart and some reuseable grocery bags to do my grocery shopping with.  I am not the only one who does this.  I see my neighbors walking to the store.  Our recreation has changed more neighborhood outdoor cookouts, walking on our walking trail to the pizza place.  We even have a pub right beside out trail,  so no DWI's for us.  Maybe you just need to gently remind people that we are in a crisis and need everybody's help to get through it

  3. Not really. US wastes too much energy, food, paper, etc. than any other country. We should give out small portions of food, recycle everything and try to use public transportations!!

  4. no. people arent.

remember the movie, Waterworld? i always think about that. As if right now, is the point where we deny deny deny, and many years later, we see the effects of all the c**p we did.

    plus its a cool movie

  5. h**l no, they would rather drive than walk. We have had it easy for too long. It is like a right. Just have alook at what kids demand these days.

    Enough said

  6. They say they are. Isn't that enough?

  7. First there really is not a crisis,  but yes many people are not changing their activities.  When you see folks valuing their time rather than the benefit for our country you understand that they are still too selfish to understand what is needed.  In addition they whine about nuclear power, don't want windmills within their sight etc you also know that they don't really care.

  8. Some are, but many are notI think that a lot of it depends on how much it is affecting your life.

My car stays parked in the driveway most of the day, with a combination trip to the store and post office, being our one trip a day.

While others drive back and forth through town looking for the cheapest prices in town.

  9. Unfortunately, many of us would prefer to stick our heads in the sand than to admit that energy is not a limitless commodity.

We need to get serious about alternative sources of energy and to conserve where we can.

  10. The green movement is growing in the double digits every year. This is evidence that people are concerned both about the environment and about energy...

The real question is; what are YOU doing to become carbon neutral and live green in all ways? There is more to being green than just recycling bottles and cans.
