Has anyone ever been on one of these? Are most people barefoot 24/7 or is it just a marketing phrase?

  1. I've seen literature for a barefoot cruise, and basically the use of the phrase is just to help create a do-as-you-please atmosphere.  Being on such a cruise you might likely feel sufficiently comfortable to want to stay barefoot the entire time.

  2. No not required, but why in the world wouuld anyone EVER wear (shudder) shoes if they didn't HAVE TO?   Just like clothing optional cruises and nude beaches... you don't have to get nekkid, but isn't that why you went there? ;-)

  3. No, bare feet are not required, but thank God they are allowed and encouraged to some extent. You may be freefooted at all times, in my experience, EXCEPT in some cases when you dine at the formal restaurant in the evening.

  4. Not at all required.

They just use the term barefoot to let you know that its a very casual atmosphere.
