Question:

Are people who say they can't afford to eat healthy just full of it?

My girlfriend and I both eat healthy on, are you ready? $160 per month.

These same people who say they can't eat healthy because it costs too much will order a 6 or 7 dollar value meal at McDonalds and never think twice. So is it just lack of education or is there some other reason America gets fatter and fatter every day?

  1. America gets fatter everyday because of all the fast food places that are around. It's easier to just stop there. Let alone all the garbage that they sell in the grocery stores. And the lack of exercise, you never see kids playing outside anymore and if you let them out you may never see them again with all the psychos out there.

  2. They are full of it... the disgusting fatty food they eat

You can by fresh salads, lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, carrots, cucumbers, the list goes on and on.

You combine these with lean meats, like chicken breast or lean ham and Hey Presto, a cheap healthy meal

There are low fat dressings to pour over too.. It's pretty simple really.

In winter when it is colder, warm dishes like soups and grilled lean meats are cheap, quick and easy

  3. To some people, it's all or nothing, and to them, eating healthy means buying organic at whole foods.

Also, most people prefer prepared foods over making food, and healthy prepared foods are always more expensive due to actually using quality ingredients.

But I agree, that lack of education is a big factor in America's obesity. There is a serious problem with scientific illiteracy. It's really scary to know that most people have no idea what a calorie is.

  4. It's all about lifestyle.  Some people live extremely hectic and stressful lives and don't even know where to begin to live healthy.  If you really care about this I suggest you help them with some tips on how to accomplish what you have learned to do.  If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem.

  5. Laziness.  Some say they don't have the time for it, but I bag a lunch to work and it takes me 5 minutes extra in the morning.  It takes longer than that for most people to get to a McD's.  I spend 40$ every two weeks and eat 5 small meals a day.  It's not hard to do.  Pure laziness

  6. Hi, glad to hear that ye are able to eat halthy for that amount.

I suppose that the true answer depends on where you live and the relevant prices there.

In Ireland where I live the price of food is generally high anyway but the  healthy option cost an arm and a leg so I suppose it is true in most cases then when people say that they can't afford to eat healthy.

When you choose someones best answer (Or edit your Q) please supply a synopsis of what/how you manage to eat healthily for $160/m

    Thanks.

    Good Luck.

  7. im with you.  i know it costs a lot for organic stuff, but seriously people, it doesnt cost that much more than paying for the c**p you get from fast food places.  im guessing those people just dont have enough time to steam some chicken and rice

  8. they are too lazy to cook their own food so they just go to mcdonalds and pig out

  9. i've learned to just let fat people die

    we tried

    =((

  10. They get their education from McDonald's, but if they would pay attention they would learn to eat healthy.

McDonald's Health Care Payment Plan is:

    - Value Meal NOW

    - Pay the doctor Later!

(Jumbo that deal for only a dollar more)
