I have a couple of people close to me who follow primarily sedentary lifestyles in front of the television. Yes, it is sad for their health, but I notice that they always have something to talk about. They can contribute to just about any conversation. If I had just met them and had an intelligent conversation with them, I would assume they were "well-read" (when really I think it is the TV). Anybody else noticed this? Are books a thing of the past? What are the best things to watch to learn a lot?
