Are picture albums posted to yahoo groups virus protected?

Question

Is it safe to open and view picture albums posted to yahoo groups? I've had that some peoples computed have been infect by photo albums posted to yahoo adult-oriented groups. I am just being cautious. Does yahoo check and clean these up before allowing them to be posted and available to the surfing public?

sorry  but  they are not virus protected

you can't put a virus in a jpg photo, just don't go into the files, there might be viruses in there...
