  1. pit bikes are relitivly safe. if you use them corectly. if you are foolish you could get hurt.. for afirst ride just get a cheep chinese bike. for mucking around on. if u want a serios bike, i dont think a pit bike is for you. Pit bikes are supposed to be cheap. Cheap to purchase and cheap to run (gas and maintenance). they dont need to cost the earth.
