  2. yes

  3. Yes, with too much sun, they can burn your eyes, you are not gonna go blind, just loose your eyesight for a while

  4. Yeah, and the sun is not??

  5. No, plastic lenses will not harm your eyes.

The material of the lens (glass, plastic, polycarbonate (often confuesed with plastic by those who are not in the business), hi-index, etc.) is not what will help or hurt the eyes. The level of UV protection is what's important.

Poly is naturally UV blocking so they need nothing added to help protect your eyes. Plastic lenses are dipped (the standard method) to add a coating of UV protection and this can be made to give the same UV protection level as Poly lenses.

I repeat, Plastic Lenses themselve are not dangerous. Just check the UV rating when you purchase them.

  6. I'm not completely sure, but I highly doubt it. I wear BIG sunglasses all the time and nothing really changes..

  7. yes  very dangerous especailly when there is lots of sun

  8. If they don't have UV protection, yes. Most glasses will say "UV protection" in the corner of one of the lenses or on a tag when you buy it. If it doesn't, then it won't protect your eyes from UV rays which is harmful.

  9. Oviously not. Aren't all sun glasses made of plastic. It's not like its ouching your eyes. your just looking through it.

  10. It wouldnt really matter if they protect you from the UV rays or not because if not its just like not wearing sunglasses.

  11. not if they have 100%UV protection

  12. In order for sunglasses to be effective protection they should say UV 400 not 100% uv protection. Doesn't really matter what they are made of.

  13. It all depends on the level of UV protection the lenses give you ....

obviously the cheaper they are the cheaper the lenses will be  less they are likely to give you protection...

but hey anything is better than nothing
