Are plastic tampon applicators recyclable?

This is a serious debate going on in my house right now!!

Only if your recycling center recycles all types of plastics which is rare. Most recycle #1, #2 and #5 only and the tampon applicator, I do not believe, is any of those.

You can always opt for tampons that use a cardboard applicator or, better yet, none at all

if they make my tv dinners with recycled tampon applicators I will come hurt all of you. NO!!!! throw that stuff away! i think that stuff is already made with recycled material

You can switch to a Menstrual Cup (I use the DivaCup) and get rid of the cardboard (the box) and plastic (applicator) waste all together.  Plus it is alot better for your body.

You could make wind chimes out of them and give them as Christmas gifts.
