  1. not yet but they will be soon. bush has been delaying giving them protected status until the alaska oil deal goes through. nuff said.

  7. well even if they aren't currently, they will be. they get stuck on ice sheets, which break apart and drift because of global warming, and get isolated from their family.

  9. No, in fact their populations are on the increase.  Oh, and for those of you who don't know it, there are no polar bears in the antarctic, and there never have been.

  10. No they aren't at this time, But for the first time ever An animal may be put on the list because of the threat that they are under.

    This is being done by President Bush. There is a large growth in the amount of Polar Bears Drowning to the ice flow.

  11. Yes. Polar bears are starting to drown during global warming. Also, approximentaly in 1 minute at least two polar bears die. So if you do not litter it won't put a hole in the ozone, witch protects us from the sun's ultraviolet lights. (UV rays). Which is threatening to all human life. secondly, it makes the ice melt, which causes polar bears to die. I know - EEK! :/ YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
