Are political parties necessary for a government to function?

If no, how might a government run without them? Who's in charge?

  1. No, not at all.  We as citizens would still vote those people into an office to represent us.  They do not "have" to belong to a so called political party.  HOWEVER, the Democratic and Republican party have a STRONGHOLD on our Government.  It seems they are the parties who "call the shots", and delegate the "rules".  Saying that, our Government and our elections are turning into something that should never be.  I say bring on the third party candidates.


  2. It's the people who are in charge, but often becomes special interest.

    The government is made up of all politicians if ask me.
