Are politics in Europe as worse as in the U.S.?????????

Looking at the U.S. presidential election and all the c**p and mudslinging going on, I was wondering if in Europe people and candidates care more about the issues and less about stupid stuff like "celebrity status" and how many houses someone owns.

Last I was aware of European politics the Italians had sent a p**n star to Parliament.. and Great Britain had the "raving loony party"..

The only reason to think the Europeans are better than us is ignorance.

I'm not in Europe, I'm in New Zealand. But here the concerns are pretty much the same. Only slandering their opponent takes up way more of their time (leaving very little for actual work).
