  1. Not sure what your second word is but I'll have a stab that it is politicians. They may act sometimes as though they are monarchs but in the United Kingdom ours are merely ministers of The Queen.

    Vivat Elizabetha Regina.

  2. Like the Kings of old.!!!! They cannot be challenged and they know they actually have the power to start wars...none of the current royalty have that power

  3. Yes. It's ironic that people think monarchs live unrealistic lives, but look at how presidents and prime ministers live! They travel in private jets, in chauffeured limos and motorcades. They live in public housing which is all but palaces in name.

I'm Canadian. Our Prime Minister has a 240-seat plane - it's been reconfigured so that it no longer carries that many passengers - plus there is a fleet of smaller jets. He has a massive official residence at 24 Sussex Drive and a government "cottage" (something in the range of 30 rooms on a private lake). He has a household staff, aka servants. Plus his official office staff. The security web around him denies citizens access to buildings he's in or passing by, it frigs up traffic. He is not a man of the people.

Look at what happens with the US President. That's even more massive. Monarchs seem modest compared to some of these guys.

  4. Yes,may politicians act like they are gods, especially "the decider," George W. Bush. But,luckily they have limited terms in office.
