i have astigmatism,i wanna use monthly disposable toric lenses.i look for them for a while and i realize that cyl powers are always negative like -2.50,-1.75..but in my prescription, cyl powers are both positive(90+1.00 and 90+2.50). is it my doctor's fault? or is it just another style of writing prescription? does anybody know anything about it?

  1. If the cylinder on your prescription is still in the + form, then it isn't a contact lens prescription. The prescription has to be converted to a - form on the Cyl , which makes all the other numbers change too...and other info is also needed.

If you don't have a specific brand and base curve for contacts written on your prescription...it isn't possible to get your lenses online. You can't guess at what size and brand will fit you.

If you don't have that info on your prescription, then that prescription is for glasses only.

I get the strong feeling you don't have that info, or you wouldn't be looking at different brands.

  2. Yes, it is possible for softlen toric lenses. Check out with the eye doc soon
