Are ppl with a degree in IT paid same as IT engineers?

I just came to know that after doing BCA one can opt for 1year professional course of IT and if I opt for that will i be equally paid if I do my IT engineering ?

  1. Nope. Because you don't have an engineering degree.

    An engineering degree is an engineering degree. Not everyone clears the engineering entrance examinations. Only the brightest and the best get into the top engineering colleges and they re selected into the major IT companies only after several gruelling rounds of interviews. Which is why the IT majors prefer to recruit from engineering colleges.

    But if the professional course that you plan to join offers placement at IT engineer salaries, it would be a good idea to do that course. Otherwise, it to get IT engineer salaries, you need an MCA or atleast an MS(IT)


  2. obviously NOT but if u do MSc  than u r considered equivalent to engineer. also if u do MCA than it is equal to doing M.E.

  3. u may not be on par with the engineers but definetely CUT ABOVE THE REST!!

    certainly the extra  degree will put u ahead of ur colleagues
