Are praying mantis good luck?

I heard that if you find one that it's good luck for you or ur garden is that true?

Only in the sense that they are efficient predators who will help you rid your garden of pests. Ladybirds are also considered by some (especially gardeners) to be lucky, for exactly the same reason. Ladybirds have a voracious appetite for aphids which do a great deal of damage to vegetables and flowers.

Not for any insects that come across them, that's for sure.

They are good luck for gardeners though - They're wonderful at taking care of garden pests.
