Are pressure waves and mach waves the same?

As an aircraft approaches Mach 1 the pressure wave builds up on its surfaces ( nose, wings etc.)

This pressure wave reaches a peak as the aircraft exceeds Mach 1 and and a series of bangs is heard and the pressure waves sweep across the ground below( the aircraft breaks the "sound barrier").

So yes is the simple answer.
