Are probiotics ruined if outside the fridge?

I have been travelling for a week and there have been a few times that my bottle of probiotic pills have gotten room temperature or even warm. Are they ruined?

Depends on the strain. Some are stable at room temperature.

And some, like the spore lactobacillus sporogenes (aka lactobacillus coagulens) is even stable when heated as its a spore.
