  1. scope out the pumpkin insides and fill with flowers and leaves

  2. great idea

  3. I think pumpkins would be a great idea.  Especially if, maybe, they were used to hold flowers.

  4. i like it.

  5. I don't think so. I actually really like that idea.  As long as they are done in a elegant way and not a "hey, it's halloween or a kid's birthday party" way, then it's fine.

  6. they  could be a really nice touch.  if you have youngsters joining in on the celebrations and the pumpkins are real you could give them away as favors so they can carve them!

Wow, you know you just gave me an Idea.  My wedding is in October of this year and it's 6 days before Halloween I bet I can find some super cute decorations... I never thought of that! Neato!

  7. I like the idea.  maybe try a big variety of sizes and shapes and use lighting that would create the mood you want.  I don't know your colors, but fall colors are beautiful in weddings and mixed with maroon and deep purple decor, the orange pumpkins would be gorgeous.  I'd suggest bringing in some tree limbs with fall colors, as well. Good luck.

  8. I think it would be lovely! Here our some ideas for you:

(Could be different? Have each guest take home a pumpkin?! )

  9. I think they would be lovely and appropriate for the season. If people don't like it, then well. Its just a centerpiece, they will survive.THey probably won't be too expensive either. Make sure you clean them well, and get something else to put around them, like different colored/shaped gourds.

Don't cut them, even if you make lovely and appropriate jack-o-lanterns or vases (which it doesn't sound like you will be attempting), they will smell. Pumpkin is not entirely unplesant, but you never want to have anything smelly (even nice smelly) around when people are eating.

  10. I think that's an awesome idea! If you're just trying to picture it, here are some pictures:

You could even use them as the "vase" for your centerpiece!

  11. I've seen some example pictures of using pumpkins, and I think it looks pretty tacky.  To me it doesn't put out a classy vibe, its more of a country looking theme.  Try some other fall options like some elegant looking fall colored flowers with some fall leaves.

  12. I think if you make it autumn related and don't make it kid like (don't carve faces into them, no candy, etc.) it would be very elegant.

Pumpkins are a huge part of fall and they are a beautiful vegetable.

Include them in some center piece with colorful leaves or other squash.

  13. It depends how you do it.  For a fall wedding it could look GORGEOUS> try theknot.com see if you can find some pictures of how peoplehavee done it in the past.  You could also try using some gourds too. adding some more colours so it's not just orange.

but no, not tacky at all.

  14. Not at all. I've seen some amazing centerpieces done with pumpkins. You can put flowers in them or carve them into luminaries

  15. Not at all! As long as they're real pumpkins (or authentic looking fakes) and not some cheesy-looking fake ones. You could either leave them plain and arrange them with fall leaves and perhaps fall flowers, have someone paint them with your names or your monogram (make sure it's done by a professional so it looks elegant and doesn't look cheesy), use them as vases, or you could use them as candle holders and have them carved like jack-o-lanterns, BUT in an elegant way (the only problem with this is that they'd need to be carved the day of the wedding or the night before, or they will start to get mushy).

  16. Use small pumpkins, and apply brown and plum and green flowers around the small one and it will look nice and elegant and totally expensive, but secretly it's not! Enjoy!

  17. Actually you are not the only one who would have a fall/pumpkin decor, here is a link that tells you everything you would need to have an elegant fall/pumpkin wedding...

    CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

  18. I think if you used small pumpkins as vases for flowers and ribbon in your color theme, it would be kind of cute.
