Question:

Are questions about Mrs Bush forbidden in YA?

In my former home Romania under communist rule, it was strictly forbidden to ask any questions about our leader Nicolae Ceauşescu or his wife and family. We were allowed only to sing praise to him.

Is the same situation true in Yahoo Answers about the leader of America and his family? I have seen that many questions that might be interpreted as slightly critical of Mrs Bush are immediately deleted and never come back. At least it is better than Romania where the person would be removed from his village and never come back!!!

I make study of YA Community Guidelines and see no place where such questions are forbidden.

  1. It's nice to have people come on here and show some of us American's how lucky we do have it here! Of course this would eliminate a big chunk of the liberals which wouldn't be a bad thing! Laura Bush is really one nice lady, she's not been offensive to anyone so I think they just kinda leave her alone which is good. She has to put up with what they say to her husband.

  2. Yes, your question and accounted will now be deleted.

    Ha. Just kidding.

  3. No, and feel free to ask Q's about why she doesn't get along with Condi...

  4. I think even the strongest Bush haters would have a difficult time with your suggestion that there is an unwritten rule in criticizing the president's wife.   I think her role has been that of a promoter of reading in the school system.  BTW: she was invited to a New York social gathering and treated in a most rude fashion. She is reported to have accepted the abuse and spoke nothing about it later.  In fact, some writer was remarking that she handled the invitation and insult with an element of style and grace.   If you would be gratified by a personal attack on Ms. Bush, I am sure you are welcome to lodge that attack without fear.  Romania?   Please.

  5. That might be some angry YA user. It's certainly not some sort of secret police. You can say whatever you want in the U.S. of A. like... George Bush is a ******* r****d!!!!!!!

  6. I do not know, but when I went to answer a question about our brave and dutiful Border Patrol Agents doing their job without help from our Government, seems there is a problem with honesty on this Y/A.

  7. no, but she has a history of getting drunk and running over ex boyfriends, so it's just not recommended.

  8. no she is a nice lady

  9. they pretty much are

  10. No, you can ask questions about Laura Bush, but I would keep them decent.  She seems like a very nice lady.  Also, the accident she got into back in her teen years is no big deal, we have all done stupid things as teenagers!
