  1. Hemigraphis is a genus of plants in the family Acanthaceae. One of the species in this genus is H. alternata, the Red flame ivy.

    Family: Acanthaceae

    Scalloped leaves of metallic gray-green with purple-red underneath. Use as a tropical ground cover or as an attractive hanging basket. Grows best in part shade, moist soil. Minimum temperature 50F. Native to Malaysia.
