Same pronunciation EXCEPT when 'aux' is followed by a word beginning with a vowel, the 'x' is pronounced with a 'z' sound as a liaison.

Par exemple, aux états-unis.

Same pronunciation, the only difference is seen when written, one is singular the other is plural.

No... it's the same pronunciation.... au is a combination of à  + le (singular, masculine) & aux is a combination of à + les (plural)... But yeah.. same pronuciation... :-)
