  1. No. a savannah cat is a serval/domestic hybrid. Savannahs have "wild" blood in them, and are very costly, usually upwards of $1,000. They usually have rosettes or spots, and are a breed of cat.

    Tabby is a way of describing a color with stripes, spots, or swirls and is not a breed. It is a color classification, and can be present in many breeds of cats. A cat is not necessarily closely related to its wild ancestors just because it has tabby coloring. Basically, it is a color classification like saying the cat is black, seal point, grey, or whatever.
