  1. No rabbits aren't rodents, ususal rodents are mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks, gophers, porcupines, beavers, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs but not RABBITS :) x

  2. Nope! They are lagamorphs, like Cha-Cha said. It has something to do with their teeth...........but they make good, fluffy, kind, pets. Give lots of TLC to your pet!

  3. No, they are not rodents.

    They are classified as 'Lagamorphs'

  4. No, they are lagomorphs.

  5. yep

  6. No..even though they do look like they could be in the rat family...yuk!

  7. yes they are

  8. no

  9. Nope. Rabbits are in the order Lagomorpha, even though many people mistake them for rodents.

  10. Rabbits are in the order Lagomorpha. Rodents are in the order Rodentia. Thus a rabbit is not a rodent.

  11. They are a nuisance animal to people who raise crops, so yes, they are rodents.  I shoot every one I see that's chewing up my gardens.

  12. Yes.

  13. Yes they are rodents

  14. No.  They are definitely not rodents.  I had this debate with someone last year and looked it up.  They have another name, liporidae.

  15. YUP!

  16. No they're not rodents. Rodents are from the order Rodentia where as rabbits are from the order Lagomorpha making them Lagomorphs? I think....

    And kangaroos are neither whoever said they were rodents! Kangaroos are Marsupials like Wallabies and Thylacines.

    I think they're just listed under rodents on this website because people associate them with all the other small animal pets which are rodents, like rats e.t.c

  17. I don't think that rabbits are rodents. If you are really curious, you can check out wikipedia.com. It has really good answers for that type of stuff. :)

  18. No, rabbits are not rodents.

  19. No, they are not rodents - they are classified as lagomorphs -

    "Lagomorphs differ from rodents in that:

    * they have four (not two as in rodents) incisors in the upper jaw;

    * they will only eat vegetation (unlike rodents, who will eat meat and vegetation);

    * the male's s*****m is in front of the p***s;

    * the p***s has no bone (baculum) as does the rodents'; and

    * they will re-digest cecotropes to obtain the most from their plant diet.

  20. they r cute 'n' fluffy!!!!

  21. no. they aren't rodents.

  22. ya they are

  23. No, they are in the order Lagomorpha, not Rodentia.

  24. I believe they are...but that's not to say that they aren't cool as pets.  (I wouldn't get one because I don't terribly enjoy having furry animals in cages because of the smell they create though).  If a squirrel and a groundhog are rodents, then so is a rabbit because they are awfully alike...long front teeth for chewing, hop around and eat plants and things.  Definitely rodents.

  25. rabbits aren't rodents and kangaroos are marsupials not rodents.

  26. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    they r cute
