  1. they won't eat you alive and most of the time will run if they see you unless you corner them they will not bite, they can obviously carry diseases and as they run rats and mice constantly wee and poo, they don't have bladder and anal muscles like most animals so where ever they have run they wee and poo so apart from not being very hygienic they will chew wires and cables in the house so it is not good to have rats and mice in a house as they can do so much damage

  2. Rats are very intelligent animals make wonderful pets.Mice are just there.

  3. not the ones you get from your pet stor but if you got them from the street then yes you will probebly get very sick

  4. Not in real life, but maybe in movies.  They eat wires and get into the pantry.  Normally, they keep to themselves and hide as much as possible.

  5. you have to take care about the animals that enter your home and of course they will not eat you alive

  6. They won't eat you alive :) haha

They do have diseases and fleas/tics that might...

  7. no but

with the p**p they leave behind yes, desease they wont eat you alive

  8. well there is something called "leptospirosis"

Leptospirosis is transmitted by the urine of an infected animal, and is contagious as long as it is still moist. Although rats, mice and voles are important primary hosts, a wide range of other mammals including dogs, deer, rabbits, hedgehogs, cows, sheep, raccoons, possums, skunks, and even certain marine mammals are also able to carry and transmit the disease as secondary hosts. Dogs may l**k the urine of an infected animal off the grass or soil, or drink from an infected puddle. There have been reports of "house dogs" contracting leptospirosis apparently from l*****g the urine of infected mice that entered the house. The type of habitats most likely to carry infective bacteria are muddy riverbanks, ditches, gulleys and muddy livestock rearing areas where there is regular passage of either wild or farm mammals. There is a direct correlation between the amount of rainfall and the incidence of leptospirosis, making it seasonal in temperate climates and year-round in tropical climates.

Leptospirosis is also transmitted by the s***n of infected animals[4]. Abattoir workers can contract the disease through contact with infected blood or body fluids.

Humans become infected through contact with water, food, or soil containing urine from these infected animals. This may happen by swallowing contaminated food or water or through skin contact. The disease is not known to be spread from person to person and cases of bacterial dissemination in convalescence are extremely rare in humans. Leptospirosis is common among watersport enthusiasts in specific areas as prolonged immersion in water is known to promote the entry of the bacteria. Occupational risk factors include veterinarians, slaughter house workers, farmers, and sewer workers. An outbreak in an inner city environment has been linked to contact with rat urine

  9. The only danger they pose is if they poo or pee in your food and you eat it, they also have to gnaw to wear their teeth down. So they might chew on electrical wires, which is a potential danger. But no, they won't eat you alive... that's silly. They are usually very timid animals and will try to avoid human confrontation. Remember that these animals are just looking for food and warmth, and are just trying to survive. They mean no harm towards you.

Best thing you can do is catch and release them... or kill them. But if you must, please don't be cruel and do it humanely.

  10. lol :)

well they can be harmful !

i wouldnt suggest having a wild rat in your home for a pet . because they do jump up and bite your neck and you could die.. thats if you cornered the rat... x

  11. hahaha you are so funny.mouse wont eat u up,they will only bite your belongings.

  12. i think yes, in the philippines there's a baby who is exposed into the bed,, without someone guarding the baby the rat bit him and when the mother came back they rushed it to the hospital, they are also dangerous when you left a food uncovered.

  13. They won't eat you, but they do carry various diseases, along with fleas/ticks. They're dirty, and, if you have them, you need to invest in getting rid of them properly using traps and maybe even a proffesional.

  14. They only need a little food to survive.  So they can live on your crumbs and won't need to eat you.  Soldiers in World War 1 were attacked by rats as they lived in trenches to avoid the bullets.  The rats got so bold because there were so many dead bodies for them to eat due to the war.

  15. They won't eat you while you are alive. But your right regarding diseases etc. Best to try and keep themout or kill if in.

  16. well my ear almost go bit by a rat so maybe.
