Question:

Are real pretty teachers at a disadvantage?

As you can tell by my handle, I am a tall model looking girl who is not shy about telling people about my good looks and fortune. I like being pretty and s**y and like it when I turn heads. I understand that many of the students of my class have a crush on me and think about me during private moments.

I wonder though if my s**y good looks makes me a less effective teacher. I may distract the students and maybe some people do not take me seriously.

I would like to hear from other teachers who are quite attractive physically and compare notes. Thanks!

  1. Seriously, I doubt that you are SO stunning that you will distract students! I find that when people describe themselves as "tall model looking", that they are usually far from it! But thanks for the giggle and good luck!

  2. Your s**y good looks don't in any way make you a less effective teacher.

Your low self-esteem, as evidenced by your reliance on your looks and your need to brag about yourself, does make you teacher lacking in many qualities, including effectiveness.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  3. It's not your looks that make you a less effective teacher, but your shallowness and Narcissism will DEFINITELY make you a less effective teacher (not to mention a much less desirable potential mate -- doesn't matter how good-looking you are; guys get tired of girls who think they're "all that" very quickly).

  4. Just keep doing what you are doing being pretty isn't bad.  Nobody likes a boring old looking teacher after all.

  5. Oh wow, honey, get over yourself.

Not all guys will go for you---you may not be beautiful to someone else.

It's great you are positive and confident---but you seem to have passed the line of being confident and of being cocky.

  6. I'm a superhot, supersexy teacher also.  Ignore the negative comments from the jealous unfortunate-looking creatures that abound here.  They are sad.

Being a tall model-looking girl is a supreme advantage in all walks of life.

If you've got it, flaunt it.

  7. They should revoke your license ... get with the program, lady - education is your only concern, not your looks.

  8. Well I would look forward going to your class. But I would probably stare at you alot more than I should, and not listen as much as I should

  9. im not a teacher and im not good lookin but i have good lookin guy teachers well some of ur students might do better because they have something pretty to look at but some might be distracrted by ur good looks

  10. very conceited i see...

  11. I get that problem a lot to. It's difficult because you're suppose to tell students that they can be anything in the world that they set their hearts to... but they want to be me... and honestly, I'm way out of their league. Just the other day I had to sit a little down and explain to her that attractive people like me will never be interested in unattractive people like her, and that's why she needs to work hard in school. She's not cute, she's not funny, so if she ever wants to have someone like me, she needed to make a lot of money. I think a made a difference in that unfortunately little girl's life... it's a nice feeling.

  12. If you taught s*x Ed, that would be awesome, especially if you brought something for "show and tell".

  13. I'm not going to validate your question with a straight up answer as this is NOT what you should be thinking about AT ALL.  What you SHOULD be thinking about it how to be an effective teacher regardless of how you look!

And before you think that I am bitter because I am not attractive you need to think again.  However, I never worried about this at all.  Have students had crushes on me?  Yes, sometimes it is obvious.  But I never went into my job thinking it would happen, it wasn't even a consideration for me.  You need to REALLY examine why you are becoming a teacher and how YOU are going to appropriately respond to these young students you are responsible for!  Because worrying about them thinking about you during "private moments" is not your concern, their education is!  Your attitude is really disconcerting.

Oh, and for the record, your looks are not the thing that doesn't make me take you seriously, your attitude is.

  14. I wouldn't worry about your effectiveness.

I don't see you being a very good teacher, considering how shallow you are.

There's nothing wrong with being beautiful. But clearly that's all there's  to you. How sad.
