  2. i think animals are as equal as humans!

And they SHOULD care!!!!!!!!! And SHOULD try and save endangered species

  3. i think gov is doing work but not properly killing of tigers should be stop immediately because they are our shaan

  4. government never do there best at anything

  5. No.

government is killing them by mining activities and SEZ.

  6. I dont think that many steps have been taken on this matter.

But if we INDIANS think ,, then we can surely bring upon a change.  Before protecting endangered species we should first think of respecting the animals . Respect comes only when we are beside them and with them.

So guys my conclution is " ONE HOUSE -- ONE PET" .. how about it??

  7. The Govt is not even doing the least it can to protect wildlife. They are more engrossed in putting their best foot forward to save their own species (politicians). The only politician who cared for our wildlife was Smt Indira Gandhi. We have genuine idiots as forests and environment ministers. KamalNath was one. Babanrao Pachpute of Maharashtra is one A.H. of a person. He gives permissions to persons organising camps in forests who least care for the flora and fauna. And now he is strongly supporting the reduction of Nanaj reserve area from 8500sq km to 300 sq km.In the hands of these politicians and beaurocrats our wild life is in a serious state of peril. Not even God can save it. Since 1904 when 84% of land was under forest cover the forest cover area has been so ruthlessly decimated that the cover is down to just 8-9% of what it was. Our BEAUROCRATS AND POLITICIANS ARE THE WORST, GREEDIEST, RUTHLESS AND THE MOST CORRUPT IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

The beurocrats are the ones who are more responsible for all the wrongs that are committed because they are educated cunning & corrupt and our politicians are poeple with no brains with one exception. They know very well how to keep their position in politics secure. We should look at such a model where by preserving the flora and fauna these greedy people will be able to make crores of money. This being done the same politicians will do there best to save wildlife.

Look at Sharad Pawar ----where ther is money he has to be there.

  8. Well the wildlife Act of !972 is supposed to be the best wildlife protection law in the world.

The government is very strict in all matters concerning wildlife. Very strict regulations are followed for zoos, circuses and even pet stores.

Seizures on large sclaes are carried out every day but are not let out to the public for very important investigative reasons.

I read all these guys yakking about nothing's been done...well a lot stuff are being done but 90% of them dont even show up on news papers or the media...being a wildlife rescue and awareness coordinator myself i do know work is being done but no one knows about it...alll every cares about is tigers and rhinos......everything else is fine print.....yea corruption does exist but dont belittle every single one of the conservationalists or officials...

  9. INDIAN GOV IS GOOD AT TAKING OATHS AND PASSING ACTS.BUT THE QUESTION ARISES THAT, ARE THEY FOLLOWED?THESE PLANS ARE ONLY PUT ON PAPER.INIDAN FOREST SERVICE IS NOT GIVING 100% TO PROTECT FORESTS.GANGA IS BECOMING DIRTY AND NO ORGANISATION TAKES CHARGE TO CLEAN IT.IF SUCH A SITUATION PREVAILS THEN THERE WILL NOT BE ANY FRESH AIR AND PURE WATER.

  10. I AM AN INDIAN  .WE ARE THE ONE WHO FORMED THE GOERNMENT (WE HAVE A DEMOCRATIC GOVT) SO TECHNICALLY WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS SELECTION .

    NOW FOR INSTANCE

U WANT FOOD TO SAVE UR LIFE EVEN IF THEY ARE EXPENSIVE U DON'T WAIT FOR THE GOVT TO LOWER THE PRICES, U JUST GET THEM

    SIMILARLY

IF U REALLY WANT TO SAVE THEM THEN START THE FIGHT FOR SAVING THEIR LIVES WHY WAIT FOR THE GOVT.

  11. let them take care of people else humans there will be extinct soon. animals come next

  12. to some extent they r

    but otherwise noooooooo

  13. they are workin ther azz off ta save endangered species...not really x]

  14. Ya Government is working  to some extent to protect the species to their capabilities. But they should be more alert to get the species to live longer like the human beings.as they are having the same right as we have on this earth.

  15. well..I DONT think they are doing anything to save the endangered species. They are pretty much self obsessed and dont have the time to think about the others who are dying evryday. Atleast for the love of "national animal"status dey should do something about the tigers.Usually the wildlife caring centres are out of funds, and i dont think that the government will do anything to make ends meet. I realy adore the WWF for whatever they do(commonly respected)!! And  the media, the news chanels just know how to exaggarate stuff and show it on TV,they show misery to the dying animals and yet are too lazy to do anything themselves.

  16. The Indian government has intorduced many acts for the protection of wildlife and endangered species..Atal Bihari Vajpayee had signed a 5-yr- plan for the protection of wildlife species in 2002.

The In dian Wildlife Pritection Act, 1972 provides for the protection of Wild animals, birds and plants and for ... It extends to the whole of India, except the State of Jammu and Kashmir ...

I feel the Indian government has taken many steps to protect endangerd species, but there is still a long way to go.

NGO's are also taking initiative for the protection of endangered species, their efforts are are proving to be fruitful and successful

  17. no and never... they dony have time for these kind of small works.. they are just busy in Corruption and some are busy in to extend the ECONOMIC GROWTH over 8-9%... why they should do this......... but all of this we are the main couse for endangered species as well to chose Indian Govt.

  18. I think Govt. is doing what it can.But we are not stepping up a nice step for these species. Not fully but somewhere we are responsible for it, we are not taking interest in the laws made by govt.I dont know what people are waiting for?why to only depend on govt?these species share our habitat.

  19. Government of India has take many measures to protect the endangered species.Wildlife protection Act 1972, Forest protection act 1986 are remarkable Acts for protecting these species. A number of National Parks and Wild life sanctuaries are established.

Though government made many laws and spend huge amount of money to protect the nature, the survival of the endangered species are not sure. unless the people come forward to protect these species, they will vanished from the world with in a Short period.

  20. The use of animals for circus performances were stopped few years back and the animals were brought back to the zoo's does the government know how they are treated? they don't even take basic health measures. I even doubt if they even feed them properly. They were better off in the circus at least they were fed in time and their health was taken care off. Government is least bothered I do not know if they are falling short of funds or they think its least important. I think the Indian government should allow people to have pets like reptiles, cubs, tortoise at home and issue licenses. I am sure the animal lovers can take better care of them rather then leave them die.
