  1. No, There isn't anything about red cars being in more accidents, but the stuff about red cars getting more tickets is true.

  2. there is no way in h**l that the colour of your car can be a factor in an accident its all down to human error not the colour of your car total myth

  3. Red cars do get more tickets and their insurance rates are higher only because red is associated with "sports cars".

Most popular color of cars are as followed........

    Silver 20.2%

    White 18.4%

    Black 11.6%

    Med/Dark Gray 11.5%

    Light Brown 8.8%

    Med/Dark Blue 8.5%

    Medium Red 6.9%

    Med/Dark Green 5.3%

    Bright Red 3.8%

    Dark Red 0.9%

  4. Maybe Red vehicles are easier to see and less prone.

Maybe, subconsciously people have a tendancy to drive into red cars.

Maybe People who drive red cars are more prone to having accidents.

I don't know, however it may be the case.

  5. When you take into consideration the number of red cars built (which I am told is more of a percentage then any other color), the statistics level out. At least that was what my insurance agent said.

That being said, there is something about the mindset of those who have to own a red (or black) car which makes them more prone to take chances. This does not mean that because a car is red (or black) that the driver is more aggressive. Some people take what ever color the dealer has when buying, while others will drive miles just to get a red (or black) car.

  6. I haven't heard anything to prove that to be true, but as mentioned above, it is true about tickets. If you have a red car you have a much better chance of getting a ticket.
