  1. Don't be silly - but i do know a man utd fan who is a linesman

  2. listening to people you would think ALL refs support man united lol..

  3. This is a sore point with us Evertonians.

Mark Clattenberg (the ref) is a Liverpool supporter and let me tell you, it showed in the Derby match a couple of seasons ago.

I cant be arsed going into the full story but believe me the referee cheated that day.

  4. No referee's are asked what team they support when they join the game, even if they lie and it is found out they have been biased it will cost them there job, so ever referees get shuffled about games to avoid this and if a referee has to referee a match which there team is involved in they are monitored and every decision is checked so no one team gains an advantage.

  5. If the referee is open about the club he supports then he cannot officiate it but if he is not open he can.

  6. He shouldn't be allowed.

    Greetings from America.

  7. No, they will be biased.

  8. no

  9. steve bennet is ah well red for me

  10. no i dont fink so

  11. i like the way you use man united as the example!! ;)

to answer your question, no. that also goes with countries and nationalities....

  12. No,they have to declare there bias. Also most refs now train with a host club, for example if Steve Bennet trained with Bolton,he would not be allowed to ref there games.

  13. legally he should be allowed to ref the game but the fans will most likely notice a slight bias in calls. i believe they should not be allowed to. it would be almost the same as reffing your children's soccer games.

  14. No they are not! I f areferee feels uncomfortable with refeering a cretain game he can be moved for example if he lives too near one club or as you say supports them! Thankfully I'm safe enough again this season! When it comes to the Premier League as I am a neutral! I support Crystal Palace! Watch your answers below!!
