Are remington 7615p worth the money?

my friend bought one and said it was fun but not really a good hunting choice,whats everyone elses opinion?

  1. The cost is partially because of the additional engineering which went into the adapter for the M16/AR15 magazine.   It is essentially a .223 caliber 7600 pump which takes high capacity magazines.  For the cost, you can buy a used AR15 where it is legal.  I owned one of the early parkerized versions and sold it soon after.  It isn't intended to be a rapid fire rifle that you can unload a 30 round magazine quickly although it is possible to make follow up shots quicker than if you had a bolt action.  The magazine gets in the way of the slide and makes it awkward.  It is accurate enough for hunting and it is a dependable rifle.  It is a decent option for those who can not legally purchase and own a semiautomatic .223 but want something other than a bolt action.
