  1. Hussein is Muslim right? Muslim isn't a race its a religion therefore it cannot be racist...

However it maybe immature because they are using it with a bad connotation...

But it is he ACTUAL middle name so i see no reason they cant use it

John Sidney McCain. there does that make you feel a little better?

  2. I don't know if they are racists, are the people that are using Hussein as a middle name now, racists also?

  3. Stating somones middle name is hardley racist.  obamas middle name is hussein. facts are facts.

  4. When Barrack was running for the senate, he posted his name as Barrack Hussein Obama. He used it to gain votes from the militant blacks. So, if anyone is racist, I would say it was Hussein. He has constantly try to guilt me into vote for a racist moron, just because I'm white. He has brainwashed a bunch of weak minded people to come onto sites like this, and ask dumb questions like this, to try to guilt white people into voting a racist moron into office.

It isn't going to work. While there are millions of idiots in this country (see New York city), there are even more people that still have a little common sense.

  5. I don't think so, at least not the majority.  Some simply don't like him and others think it is funny..

  6. I think it's largely out of ignorance. The people who make comments like that must think that a name defines a person's religion.

  7. No. They are simply reminding people of his full name, something Barack will never do because it may cast him in an unfavorable image.

  8. I don't believe it is racist. What they want to do is portray him as a terrorist because his middle name is the same as Saddam Hussein's last name.  In essence, they are saying he is like Saddam because his name is the same.

That is like saying that Anyone named Charles is like Charles Manson or anyone named Jeffery is like Jeffery Dalmer, or anyone named Adolf is like Adolf Hitler.  It makes absolutely no sense, but they do it because they want to believe the worst in him.

In short, the act of referring to his middle name is not racist, but their reasons for doing so may be because they are racist.

  9. Its not racist to say the guy's name.  Its his name isn't it?

  10. Not necessarily but I think juvenile is a certainty.

  11. not at all.

Is it racist to say John fitzgerald Kennedy?

    William Jefferson Clinton?

    Richard Millhouse Nixon?

    George Herbert Walker Bush?

  12. wtf ... yes, it is, obviously and plainly. I don't even know how the people on this thread are able to deny it. There's no other reason to laugh at and make fun of a common Arabic middle name if you were not making fun of and laughing at Arabs/Muslims.

Respondent who thinks it's "ironic" he shares a middle name with a former Iraqi dictator, why? Do you realize half the population in Iraq shares this name? Apparently you would like to argue that most Iraqis and/or most Muslims, or Iraqis and Muslims in general, are hilarious weirdo terrorists, and that's why it's so funny or "ironic" that Obama has an Arabic middle name. And that is some serious ignorance.

  13. No, but we do have fun with names.

I find it ironic that the next possible president of the United States has the same Middle Eastern / African name of one of our worst enemies from Iraq (Saddam). Sure, it means almost nothing - but it is fun to jib - jab.

Just for fun, I will s***w with McCain's name. Ah h**l, it's not nearly so fun.
