I am in my mid 30s so dont say Im a kid.
When I look at the crowd at the RNC I see a mass of white haired older people who were raised in a different world. Are their views antiquated? Are they fixated on the past? So much is changing in the world. The old ways do not work. They do not apply anymore.
I think an older person's politics is like their relationship to technology. They have trouble "getting it". Sorry but I think it's true. My dad says "I just want a cell phone that only makes calls, nothing more", while I have my fancy ipod and I only wished it did more stuff. If I buy anything technological for my parents for christmas they won't use it at all if there is more than 2 steps to its operation. They will never figure it out no matter how simple it is to me.
Is this a good analogy to politics? As the population increases in average age, are the republicans getting stronger?
