  1. The Kink is really meant for rails and park.  If that's what you're into, it's great.  I've seen people use it and they love it.  You can still use it over the rest of the mountain, but you'd probably be more benefited to get  all-mountain board if that's the case.

Ride is a good company though, so reliability issues shouldn't be too much of a concern.

  2. I used to ride a Kink a few years back and they are good jib boards especially good for rail riding. There are more flexable jib boards out there like the Artifact but a Kink is far from stiff so i dont know what the guy above is on about. If you want a board for rails, general jibbing and small kickers then the Kink is a good choice. Good luck with the riding.

  3. Ride is a pretty good company, so chances are that the board you're looking at is a good one, but it also depends on how good you are and what you like to do. If your just beginning to snowboard, you shouldn't buy are really expensive board, that should be when your getting pretty good. If you really like crusing and just riding down the mountain, make sure it's not a freestyle board, and vise versa.

  4. Well, it really depends on what kind of boarder you are. If you are a beginner i would pick something stiff, so a ride kink would be an okay choice. Maybe a forum destroyer or forum manual would be better choices. If your more advanced go with a more flexible board. I've used the ride kink in comptetitions, and its not the best freestyle board in my opinion, but it does have nice control on free riding. If your on a sponsored team like i am, then i would choose a more flexible board such as a Rome or a Nitro. For your references, i use a Rome Agent, with Union cadet bindings.
