Do you know how hard it is to get an answer to this. Can you play a power chord using the fourth string?

  1. simple. the term power chord is actually just a chord shape that only applies to guitar. its called a power chord because its easy to play any basic chord in music and uses all the strings. once you change the finger shape it is no longer called a power chord.

  2. Well, I made a conscious decision to learn how to do the powerchords on any 3 consecutive strings (EAD, ADG, DGB, GBD), with the root note on any string . They CAN be played on any 2 or 3 strings that sit beside each other, but the highter strings require diferent figerings because of the way the gyitar is tunes. I know this isnt all too clear, but thats the best I can describe it. Hope it helps in some way or another
