  1. For a date, of course not.

Just for eating, who cares what is "fashionable"

  2. Salad bars are costly and produce a lot of food waste.  The only large chain restaurant that I can think of that still has a salad bar is Ruby Tuesdays.  Ryan's, Golden Corral also have salad bars to accompany their food bars.

  3. they are still a favorite in the u.s.!

  4. We are always looking for a great salad bar none to be found maybe you also have a small deli with it to help profits thats what i would do go girl

  5. Salad bars are hard to maintain...they are a great host to bacteria if not kept at proper temperatures. In India would you be able to maintain a sanitary area? Is the culture there use to self served types of foods? Would there be any taboos associated with people touching food that could be going into someone elses mouth. All in all I think salad bars are great...and a great deal. I've never been to India so I wouldn't be able to tell you how people would perceive it...but I can tell you that they are a lot of upkeep.

  6. I don't know what is or is not feasible in India, but the Indians I know here in America are vegetarian, so I would imagine the right place could take off.

I love a good salad bar, but from a business standpoint I am assuming you better have a lot of foot traffic because salad items spoil quickly and you might throw away a lot of food if it is not bought quickly.
