  1. Salaried workers DO NOT GET OVERTIME

  2. It depends.  Check the U.S. DOL Fair Pay website (link below) - it lists out the requirements for determining exempt status for overtime pay.  There are certain tests/parameters that must be met before someone is exempt from overtime, regardless of whether they are on salary.

  3. Only hourly personnel are eligible for overtime as long as they are not "exempt". Go here for more info

    http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/regs/complian...

Salaried employees at any level are exempt from receiving overtime.

  4. Administrative workers (including managers) are the only employees who are not covered by the charter with respect to maximum # of hours and overtime. Their job is deemed to be based on a salary, tied to objectives. Whether they are capable of finishing these objectives they accepted for the given salaries within the alloted time, or have to put in extra hours are in their own hands.

Therefore to answer your question, unless you are subject to a collective agreement, there is no over-time pay. However, this doesn't mean the supervisor cannot compensate employees for their hard work, via paid days off, bonuses, free meals, etc...

  5. The nice thing about being salaried is that you get the same pay every month. One of the drawbacks is that "you get the same pay every month". NO...you are not eligible for overtime if you're salaried.
