  1. I think there is a law on that and it is like this... If plants are grown on land which has had some sewage on it. The food Can not be used for 5 years. The plants like it just like they like our CO2...

  2. its actually good for a little bit

  3. Sanitary sewer overflows are considered hazardous waste. Think about everything that goes into a toilet-pills, human waste, etc.. The combination of that is not good for plants.

  4. I don't know who bb is, but I would not try it.

  5. i believe johnnie b is correct in that the codes regarding waste usage is quite a long time and very very strict - human diseases can be passed this way and they have a long life.

grey water waste can be used in orchards but not blackwater waste. and an sanitary sewer overflow i would assume to be blackwater.

the only way i would even consider using blackwater waste - is waste that has been treated for 3 or more years or incinerated (several waterless toilet systems do this like the clilvus systems) and even then i woudnt use it in a food garden, but would in an orchard.

you need to do more research before you make any decisions that could affect your health and the health of your family.

i havent found specific info on codes for here in the states (too many you need to check your locale) but came across this on a website for australia on building your own waste management. one document alone is 40+ pages on requirements. its interesting reading and it Might answer your questions regarding your overflows

understand this site also advocates using blackwater waste. (safely) but this might be very very difficult to get permits for here in the US.
