  1. I live in Utah, and here bus drivers are required to certify in CPR and first aid and then renew their certificate every two years.

    The certification is just the normal Red Cross classes, or other classes, such as a technical school class. I used to do them when I worked because I worked in a public place, and I used to re-certify every 2 years to keep my card current. I don't do it anymore since I no longer work.

    I am sure regulations vary from place to place, so your best bet is to contact the school district you are interested in driving for, and find out what they require. Some employers will pay for your certification, and if they require it if you are going to drive for them, they will probably pay for your classes.
