Backpacks yes....general school supplies ( paper,pens etc)I do not believe so....go to the state website and there should be a list...Sorry do not know website addy...you can also check your local tv station website they should have a link or list.

After researching it myself I found that school supplies in Texas will be taxed. This is more of a clothing tax free weekend minus the backpack.
