Are schools closed in south florida? PLEASE HELP!?

I know hurricane fay is coming and i live in south florida in Ft. Lauderdale, and i would like to know if schools are closed on monday?

i keep looking at sites but i can't find where it says about the schools so if you could please give me a direct link it would be so nice

As of 5 pm  on 8/17/08.   Schools in Monroe County are closed on Monday & Tuesday.   Broward just announced there will be no school on Monday. There is no school in Miami-Dade on Monday.  Information on closings can be found at the Sun-Sentinel on line site.

All the school boards are keeping a close eye on the storm! They should come to a conclusion by the evening on which to keep school open or to close them!

Just keep a watch on tv or you can go the the school board website to find out about schools closing

Not yet.........watch your local TV news............Fay according to AccuWeather hurricane tracker model it will come right up the center of the State.........get ready..........be safe......

I live in ft lauderdale too.

They havent decided if schools will be closed yet,

but I have a feeling they will.

It's supposed to hit on Tuesday,

but they usually give you a day off to prepare!
