I have seen clown fish and seahorses together and they acted fine just to make sure? My grandparents had them and the seahorses lived longer than the clownfish!

  1. no as the clown fish will get all the food before the seahorses

sometimes they live despite of wot u do not because wot u do it was just luck they should be kept with things like pipefish and inverts in a small reef tank

  2. They can but you will have to take care at feeding time, Seahorses are slow eaters and and even if you feed the horses their own diet, there is no saying that the clowns will not take it first.    Otherwise, they will live well together.

  3. Yes they can, clown fish eat an array of foods- many of which seahorses wont touch. However clown fish may try to eat your horse's meal, so try to keep the clown well fed.

Clowns are one of the few tank mates that seahorses can live with, though I wouldn't put more than one or two clowns in a tank with seahorses.

But seahorses prefer the company of their cousins the pipefish over a clown, though these two different kinds of fish can and do successfully life together.

Just remember the delicate composition of the seahorse, under stocking is ALWAYS better.

  4. depends on the size of the tank..

its best to just leave a tank with just seahorses because they are SOO fragile and you don't want to have the clownfish pick on him...
