  1. Air bags Side air bags i reccomend for SUV 2007 Acura MDX

  2. Airbags. And driving safely.

  3. Seat belts could be made better. However, they would not be as comfortable so less people would wear them. Seat belts today are made safe and comfortable enough that people well wear them. They work good with air bags BUT without them, air bags alone would be dangerous. I wouldn't drive/ride without seat belts on especially in a vehicle with air bags.

  4. The combination of the seat belt and air bags have saved many lives.

As for something better, a better seat belt system more akin to the 5 point safety harnessed in race cars.  Restraining the other shoulder would reduce some injuries to that area of the body.

Another item that the car companies could offer to the buying public is better seats.  Seats today are awful.  Terrible lack of lumbar support, no side bolsters for your upper legs, and terrible head rests.  A seat should cradle you like a glove and it helps keep you in place during an accident.  I wish every car came equipped with seats from

    Recaro.
