  1. exaggerated courage is fearlessness. exaggerated self-confidence is arrogance. the absence of courage is cowardice. the absence of self-confidence is self-pity.

  2. entangled but different. confidence can be misplaced, courage hardly ever is.

  3. Self-Confidence shows you are confident in whatever you are doing. Courage shows you are brave and are not scared to take on new challenges. They are to completely different things.

  4. I am confident if I manage to cross the borders I will be rich the problem is that I don't have the courage to do that. I used them both in a sentence and as the other answerer said both important but self confidence without courage is just a state of narcissism.

  5. I think they are different. Self-Confidence is believing in yourself and your own abilities.

Courage is taking a calculated risk for the good of others.

I think Courage is more important, though they're both great things.

At least, those are my opinions.

  6. I see why you ask that. Pretty smart!

But when you compare self-confidence and courage you've brought action (approach) in when asking this question.

Self confidence gives you the courage to conquer all things you bring amongst yourself. Not without determination (action).

    I like this question.

Self confidence is self, love, and respect. Self confidence is knowing you have the abilities to succeed (in whatever you choose do), conquer, achieve, strive. Self confidence, like dignity knows you at you're best. Self confidence is beauty within. Self confidence is internally as well as psychically.

I guess the question is do you have the courage in doing so?

    Courage is nothing without determination?

    Determination is an action.

Actions speak louder than words…. ALWAYS

Anyone can have the courage to do nothing.

  7. Courage is apparent only in the face of adversity.  It is the ability to put fear aside in light of a positive outcome.

Self-confidence is present (or not) all the time.  Self-confidence is the ability to believe in one's self.

Self-confidence, though, can be detrimental to one's life, when someone has more than they can handle.  Self-confidence, when taken to the extreme, is just B---S--- (please excuse the langage).  You know the type -- loud mouthed, bombastic, know-it-all, talk-over-you type of person that believes that they can do nothing wrong.

People with too much self-confidence are often bullies.  Self-confidence can be faked -- the bully is often very insecure on the inside, and fakes self-confidence to hide his or her shame at being emotionally weak.

Courage only shows up when danger is involved.  This might be a perceived danger (like your life is just going to end if you talk to that cute girl over there) or it might be real (a child is in a burning car and only you are there to save them).

Courage cannot be faked, but it can be  self-controlled.  Courageous people often make a conscious decision to "do the right thing", even at great cost to themselvfes, simply because the know it is the right thing to do.

Too much "courage", though, is foolhardiness, and can border on stupidity, like people that attempt daredevils stunts without  proper benefit of safety training.

Courage can show up in the oddest places from the strangest people.  Courage does not necessarily have anything to do with self-confidence.  Shy, mousey people often show great feats of courage when the need arises.

  8. Self-confidence is your spirit. Courage is you bravery
