Are shops and restaurants open in sorrento and positano in the winter?

i'm thinking of going there this winter, but not sure if most of the shops and restaurants are closed. someone told me there's not much to do. would it be a bad time or should i wait for spring.

yes....i'm italian...and i live near napoli..in positano and sorrento the restaurants are open in winter...don't worry...^_^
