I'm talking about khaki shorts, not short shorts that leave nothing to the imagination. The wedding's today and it's hotter than h**l, so I was just curious. I know someone who's wearing jeans to this wedding.

  1. NO lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jeans to a wedding......lazier!!!

How do you think the bride feels lugging around a 15 pound dress and 3 pound hair!

Put on nice light khaki PANTS and  short sleeve dress shirt and don't be such a boy!!!!!!!!!

  2. Depends on the way the wedding is. I would assume it is a little more dressy than shorts. If you know someone wearing jeans, wear jeans too.

  3. no no no, sorry but you're a guy so you have to sweat it out in pants.  that's the awesome thing about bein a girl, we can wear skirts!  maybe you can rent a kilt, that's the only formal thing I can think of

  4. Is it a beach wedding for hippie types?  That's the only situation where any kind of shorts would be appropriate.  Just wear some khaki pants and a nice dress shirt, or at least a polo shirt.  Otherwise you'll look like a slob.

  5. Definitely not. You need to wear a suit.

  6. Not unless it's on the beach!!  Wear some khaki pants, and some nice clean sandles and a light dressy short sleeved shirt.  Sorry but khaki shorts to a formal wedding looks pretty bad.

  7. It depends on the wedding, if it's a casual wedding or a beach wedding than that's fine, but if it's a formal wedding in a fancy hall, then no it's not appropriate.

  8. What? is this a poor wedding or something b/c it sure sounds like it

  9. Unless the invite said 'shorts appropriate' it is not.  Wear what you would normally wear to a wedding despite the heat.

  10. It depends on the wedding.  If it's a beach wedding outside, then sure.  If it's a more formal affair, even if it's hot outside, wear something nice.  If not a suit, go for business casual (short-sleeved button-up with a tie and khaki pants and loafers).

The guy wearing jeans is not a good example to follow, unless he's going to wear a cowboy hat and snakeskin boots and is a close relative that everyone will excuse for that sort of thing.  Tell him to wear slacks, please.

  11. I would say it depends on the wedding.. When my husband and I first talked about our wedding we talked about everyone wearing their shorts because we wanted to have a big party.. not just a wedding.. I call your friend.. and ask.. Do I need to be dressed formally or casually.. Jeans are inappropriate for any wedding.. Unless the bride and groom say it is ok.. so give your friend a call.. I am sure they would rather you call than show up looking bummy at their special day..

  12. unless it's a beach-themed wedding, absolutely not.

a wedding is a formal event.

  13. No, unless it is a wedding on the beach. All of the weddings I have attended the men wear suits, or at least a nice pair of pants, shirts and a tie. And real shoes.
