  1. no two different critters, shrimp has more flavor

  2. No but they do look alike in fact a shrimp is actually a prawn

  3. Kidding right?

  4. no they're not.

shrimp grow up to be shrimp

lobster grow up to be lobster

they are completely different species.  I don't know if there are special names for baby lobsters/shrimp like there are for other animals.

  5. Your a dumb ***.

What kind of question is that.

Do you read or study anything..if you do then any person would know that shrimp are not baby lobster.

    DUH!!!

  6. no...the two are completely unrelated, besides the fact that they're both fish.

  7. these people are right, they are not baby lobster. they are actually baby seapods. seapods migrate into the deep ocean and arent harvested because they are so deep and their meat is too tough to sell. They grow to a length of 2 feet long but very few are spotted. Anyway, good question, I hope you found an answer here.

  8. SHRIMP:

    Subphylum: Crustacea

    Class: Malacostraca

    Order: Decapoda

    Suborder: Pleocyemata

    LOBSTER:

    Subphylum: Crustacea

    Class: Malacostraca

    Order: Decapoda

    Infraorder: Astacidea

    Family: Nephropidae

  9. No. Shrimp is its own spieces and is entirly different than lobster.

  10. no  because shrimp don't have claws and they never get that big but  it would be interesting

  11. No, but they do look like little ones don't they?

  12. NO...hence why they have a COMPLETELY different name......

True shrimp are swimming, decapod crustaceans classified in the infraorder Caridea, found widely around the world in both fresh and salt water. Together with prawns, they are widely caught and farmed for human consumption.

Clawed lobsters compose a family (Nephropidae, sometimes also Homaridae) of large marine crustaceans. Lobsters are economically important as seafood, forming the basis of a global industry that nets US$1.8 billion in trade annually.

Though several different groups of crustaceans are known as "lobsters," the clawed lobsters are most often associated with the name. Clawed lobsters are not closely related with spiny lobsters or slipper lobsters, which have no claws (chelae), or squat lobsters. The closest relatives of clawed lobsters are the reef lobster Enoplometopus and the three families of freshwater crayfish.

those 2 people need to go to school or read a book.

and to the guy that said they're FISH...read too...it's a CRUSTACEAN! HAAA

Now it would've made more sense if you'd asked if crawfish (crayfish) were baby lobsters.  Because they atleast look more alike lol.

and please give me thumbs down, for the lack of your intellegence.

  13. Shrimp are shrimp, lobsters are lobsters. I think you may be thinking of the Lobster Bites at Long John Silvers, they are small. However they are not shrimp they are langastino lobsters, the kind that only grow about an inch and look sort of like a crawdad. Or you may be thinging of Dixie Crossroads, they bake rock shrimp (not the same as rock lobsters) and claim they taste like lobster. In that case it is still shrimp. And on that note I am going to eat!

  14. Sure.  Just like broccoli is really baby trees.

  15. no, completely different species, they occupy a completely different area of the food chain, lobsters are bottom feeders shrimp are free swimming filter feeders.

  16. hmm thats a good question

  17. no, their a type of crill. you should try google if you want more detail.
